If properly applied so the seal is good, we have had a glass of a nice Merlot last for a week with no degradation in flavor. If you get it on a bit crooked, I suspect that air will leak in causing the pump to repeatedly re-engage and wearing out the batter.

Nope…we haven’t tired that one. At this point our house is pretty much cluttered with wine gadgets of every shape and function. If some one sends us a product to review, we’ll do it but I think we have virtually every type of wine gadget known to mankind already. Have you had good luck with it?
