Flagship wine is not a term that has a concrete definition within the
Wine industry so there are no rules that dictate how a Winery chooses their flagship offering or even if
they have one. If a Winery has a flagship wine, it could be because it is the most awarded wine they produce.
It might just be the Winemaker's favorite that he or she produces or that the Winemaker feels most represents the style that he or she is trying to achieve.
We've found this to be a very subjective category and even discussions with different people at a Winery will give different answers on what they feel
is the Winery's Flagship wine. |
