Location:  Portions of Fresno, Madera, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Stanislaus, Yolo Counties
Climate:  Warm to Hot days in the growing season with highs in the low to high 90s and nights in the low to mid 60s.  Areas closer to the Sacramento River delta such as Clarksburg experience cooler evenings.
Comments:  The central valley does not carry a true AVA distinction but it does have a number of smaller AVAs within it.  They're listed together here under the larger regional grouping.
