Comments: Although often associated with the Central Coast AVA, Santa Cruz Mountains AVA is actually an AVA unto itself. Although it shares many characteristics of its much larger Central Coast AVA neighbor, the Santa Cruz Santa Mountains AVA is wholly mountainous with generally cooler temperatures and more precipitation.
